Product Designer

We are hiring a Senior / Staff designer (Individual Contributor) to join our Product design team and drive the vision, strategy, roadmap, build and implementation of Nykaas multi-brand Design System, and our internal CMS tool, Display Network.

The ideal candidate will take a systems-mindset to build and integrate consistent, efficient components across the product portfolio. They appreciate that both Design System and Display Network are products in themselves with specific users - designers, developers, internet operations, and solve for their unique requirements.

Lumi is Nykaas multi-brand design system for building interfaces for Nykaas customer-facing and internal products. Its core purpose is to help our users collaborate better together.

In this role, you will:

1. Own the design, implementation and maintenance of our design systems visual language including typography, color, iconography and components along with the tools and resources to support the system.

2. Maintain design documentation with proper getting started guides, usage guidelines and examples to assist designers and developers with correct implementation.

3. Champion accessibility process across the design and engineering team along with accessibility guidelines

4. Maintain our design systems Figma libraries.

5. Hold retrospectives & gather input from director-level peers of product design and development teams.

6. Conduct end-to-end audits of our UI, visuals and design system, come up with designs to solve for discrepancies and push the visual design system forward

7. Present the systems mission, library, and process to other groups, including product managers, UX Writers, and design and development teams throughout the enterprise.

The display network is our in-house CMS tool, which powers ads and widgets across all of Nykaas businesses. It enables our business, site management, and communications design teams to create dynamic landing pages serving various customer and business needs. It truly powers the first impression every user has of Nykaa.

In this role you will:

1. Work closely with developers, product managers and fellow designers to build new widgets that appear across our landing pages, and improve the design and functionality of existing ones.

2. Own the user experience of the internal tools associated with the display network

3. Identify and establish best practices, workflows and processes that inspire others within the team to do exceptional creative work while improving efficiency and scalability.

4. Maintain design documentation

5. Present the mission, library, and process to other groups, including product managers, UX Writers, and design and development teams throughout the enterprise.

2. Proven experience designing and launching for both desktop and mobile environments

3. Deep understanding of how to create usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale to millions of users.

4. Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment.
